This photograph of the Henry Guest House was taken by I.S. VanDerVeer, a New Brunswick Photographer, in 1890 and presumably was color tinted by him. The photograph depicts the house in its original location, before being moved to the library grounds in 1924.
On the back side of the matting is hand written: "The Guest House Which stood on corner of Carroll Place and Livingston Ave and moved to City Library grounds"
The black and white version of the photograph was created digital to represent what the original photograph would have appeared before tinting.
